It’s passion, not only work!

I’ve always liked my sleep, and from the moment I found out I was expecting my son I was preparing myself mentally saying to myself “make the most of these quiet nights, soon its all going to become a thing of the past”.

I think its been told for years by other first time parents now that you have an infant your full night of sleep is out the of window. It’s almost as if people expect you to go days, weeks, months and sometimes years without a decent nights sleep.

My husband at the time was a full-time pilot for the Navy, and he needed a restful night of sleep in order to fly the next day. We often spent night’s apart, him in the spare room with a set of ear plugs in while I slept in our room with our son. He was exclusively breastfed and was up 3 times a night to eat or be soothed back to sleep, I was exhausted and suffering from Post Partum Depression, so I needed to do something to help my little guy get the sleep he so badly needed also.

My son was 4 months old when a friend recommended this program to my husband and me. My son would only sleep on one of us for his naps and slept in a rock and play by our bed with the vibrate function on full blast, just to get a minimum 4 hours sleep. We were desperate for sleep. After day 3 of using this program, our 4-½ month old was sleeping 8+ hours night and taking great naps during the day. Every month his nighttime sleep continued to get longer and longer. At 13 months he slept from 7pm – 7am, sometimes longer!! When we say, “want to go night-night”, he goes over to the gate in his playroom and walks to his bathroom for his bath, story and bed. We were able to spend our first night away from our son and let someone else take care of him for the whole night, and he was a dream.

On October 21st 2016, we were blessed with another son. I have been using my method of sleep training on him since we came home from the hospital. At 3 weeks old he was capable of sleeping 8+ hours each night. He takes 3 awesome naps each day and is thriving.

The other thing I have introduced both of my children to is the use of Young Living essential oils. I create and defuse my own blends in the bedroom at night to help aid a restful nights sleep for all of us.

Giving your child this life long skill is going to set them on the right path for healthy sleep habits for the rest of their lives. And, the best part is, you do not have to stop breastfeeding to be able to get 8+ hours of sleep a night.

So, why not give this amazing gift to your child and most of all, to yourselves. Imagine being able to be not only parents, but a couple again and enjoy each other.
